The commands

/warn /note /timeout /untimeout /kick /ban /unban /purge /slowmode /lock /unlock. A note is staff-only: it goes on the member’s record and they are not told.

Who can use them

Name your moderator roles and Bonki refuses every moderation command to anyone else. You can go further and hide the commands entirely, so they never appear in anyone else’s slash menu.

Hiding needs one extra sign-in from you, because Discord will not let a bot change who can see a command, it needs your own authorisation. The button walks you through it.

Hiding is presentation. Anyone with Manage Server can change command permissions back in Discord’s own settings, so the role list remains the real control.

Cases

Every action gets a numbered case with the reason, who did it and when, posted to your mod log. The Cases tab is where you read them back, search by case number, member ID, name or words in the reason.

Editing a reason updates the mod-log post in place rather than leaving the old one up with a correction underneath.

Revoking marks a case as undone. It never deletes it, a record that can be erased is not a record, and a revoked case still shows what happened, which is what an appeal turns on.

Escalation

Set thresholds like “3 warnings → an hour’s timeout”. Warnings age out after a window you choose, so someone warned twice last year is not treated like someone warned twice this week. Only the highest threshold reached fires.

There is no automatic kick, on purpose: a kicked member rejoins through any invite seconds later, so it costs them a click and costs you the attention when they return. /kick is there for when a person decides it is right.

Safety rails

Bonki refuses to action anyone at or above the moderator’s own highest role, anyone above Bonki itself, the server owner, or anyone holding a role you have marked immune, and says which of those applied.

Members are DM’d before a kick or ban lands, since afterwards they cannot be reached. Whether the message arrived is recorded on the case.
